The urgency to transform food systems to avoid an environmental collapse is well-established in the scientific community. Ecosystems cannot cope with the current rates of deforestation, resource use and pollution resulting from animal-centred food production. In addition, animal-based diets largely contribute to the global burden of disease, exacerbate food inequality and cause enormous suffering to our fellow sentient creatures. This talk will discuss how animal liberation and food technology are vital to shape a better future for all.
