Jana Stefanova, founder of Kildare Wildlife Rescue will talk about wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. It will include a basic overview of what wildlife rescue and rehabilitation is, the ethics and animal welfare in wildlife rescue, what to do when you find and injured or sick wild animal, and how to get involved. Jana will focus on her area of expertise: hares and rabbits and the differences, the issues and the welfare concerns they face in Ireland (i.e. hare coursing, hunting, myxomatosis, no legal protection for rabbits etc.)
