Ocean Connections: How protecting our ocean is vital for human health (SLIS)*
In this workshop, we will explore our intricate connections to the marine world by focusing on the vital role which our ocean plays in supporting human health and wellbeing; from producing the air we breathe to determining our weather. We will also take a deep dive into the various destructive impacts which human activities are having on marine ecosystems on a global and local scale, and explore the positive actions which we can each take as individuals, in our communities, and on a larger scale to protect our oceans and marine biodiversity. “We cannot have a healthy population, without having a healthy ocean.”
This talk will be interpreted into sign-language.
