The campaign to ban hare coursing – a discussion on how to help, and what’s next for animal liberation

Laura has been an animal rights activist for over 20 years, working with many groups both in Ireland and internationally. She formed the National Animal Rights Association (NARA) in 2007, which is a vegan, voluntary, pro-intersectional, non-hierarchical group based in Dublin. NARA work at the street, community, national and political representatives levels to advance rights for animals. NARA was instrumental in the work to produce progressive legislation for the recent and successful country wide ban on fur farming.

Laura is involved in human rights campaigns as well (ant-fascist, anti-racist, Repeal the 8th, Marriage Equality etc), active in the trade union Unite and local community work.
