Baby-Led Feeding

Biography

Aileen’s love of food and concern over the childhood obesity statistics led her to start Baby Led Feeding in 2015 and a launch of a fully vegan product called Hidden Heroes in June 2019. More than 100,000 parents follow Aileen across her social media to find innovative ways of incorporating more vegetables into their children’s diets.

There are currently 880,000 children in Ireland under the age of 12 and only a quarter of them are eating the right amount of vegetables every day. Aileen’s aim with Hidden Heroes is not to replace whole vegetables but to just give children that one extra portion in their diet in a fun way.

Her talk and food demonstration will include the statistics of children eating vegetables, the struggles parents have and how to over come those issues. Aileen will talk about her journey with healthy food and feeding families and the insight she has got over the years. She will show how her Hidden Heroes Veggie Nuggets can be used to get children eating more vegetables and will give lots of recipe ideas on how to use them at home.

Aileen will present a food demonstration on Sunday 29th September and will meet people at her Hidden Heroes stall all weekend.
