Clare set up her chocolate business Chocolatey Clare in 2016 with a mission to create luxury vegan confectionery based on an ethos of sustainability, promoting kindness to our planet
and all who share it. Having been vegetarian since 1990, she became vegan in 2015 along with the rest of her family, prompting her to switch career completely and immerse herself
in chocolate. Clare had previously worked for twenty years as a technical German translator, followed by a decade in the adult literacy sector. She has a passion for people, animals,
nature, food, and the synergy achieved when all are connected in harmony.
