Biography
In 2003 and after three major relapses in only nine months, Conor was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 15. Up to that point Conor was a healthy athlete and student.
Shocked that his neurologists, nurses and medical team did not expect him to be able to continue to excel in sport and school, Conor left the hospital with a devastating diagnosis and bleak outlook.
Further, all conversations about therapy focused on injection with little or no mention of diet or lifestyle. Conor began his own searching and found hope from books and websites worldwide and therefore changed his diet and lifestyle.
Inspired by his own circumstances, Conor went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in human nutrition and dietetics from Trinity College Dublin and Dublin Institute of Technology (2010) and his PhD from University College Dublin (2016).
Now, Conor is symptom-free, relapse-free, medication-free and still playing several sports… demonstrating the power of lifestyle choices!
