Biography
Gerry Boland has been campaigning on and off on animal rights and vegan issues since the early 1990’s, when him and a few other activists founded AFAR (Alliance for Animal Rights). Gerry has been interviewed perhaps 100 times on radio over the years, on various animal rights issues (Dublin Zoo, vivisection, hunting, horse racing, circuses etc) and on veganism. Two years ago, Gerry established Animals Behind Closed Doors (ABCD) to campaign specifically on factory farming issues. The main focus of ABCD is education and persuasion and to this end Gerry has done over 40 radio interviews since November 2020, on local, regional, and mainstream media.
